Every month, we at 6Storage do our best to introduce new features to make our self storage management software more comprehensive and useful, and this month is no different. This is our second update this month. These features are solely aimed at making self storage management simpler so you can focus on crafting strategic initiatives that help your organization and its tenants thrive. Here's a list of all the major features and enhancements introduced in 6Storage during September
Features & Enhancements
Nets / Vipps: Self-storage operators often present their automated payment option, to new and existing tenants as the “no-late-fee guarantee”. All the signed up tenants never need to worry about missing a payment and incurring that dreaded expense. Sounds great, right? With 6Storage Nets integration your tenant can opt for automatic payment and tenants can also make payment using wallets like Vips after logging into their online portal.
Location Based role & permission: If you click the location dropdown on any screen on your 6Storage account ALL of the facilities set up on your 6Storage account are displayed. This is good information for an owner or manager, but I do not think that a clerk (or someone under a manager) should have access to all facilities data at the click of a button? Any thoughts, Here is our solution to it? Assign facilities to users in your 6Storage account.
Handle tenants who fail to pay late fee: Occasionally some tenants drops their rent check thru pay slot after the 7th (late fee / gate lock out apply on the 8th each month), but neglects to include the late fee in addition to the past due rent. Upon entering the payment, the PMS (6Storage) tells the gate software to unlock them at the gate, even though I have it set to $0.01 as the minimum balance before gate lockout, and the tenant still has a balance of $10.00 (our late fee charge).Do you remove the overlock on the tenant and let them have access because their rent is paid in full, even though their late fee isn't paid? Or do you keep them locked out until all charges for the month are paid in full? Many Operators leave them over-locked until they pay the entire amount due. No exceptions and some have their payment settings to pay the late fee and taxes first, and then any money left will go to the rent portion of what is due. That way, technically, the rent is considered partial payment and they will remain over-locked and access will be denied. 6Storage can help you both the ways.
Custom fields: Add up to 10 fields on your 6Storage account, display them on tenant lease agreement.
